S H A W N  S U L L I V A N

Shawn grew up in both Boulder Colorado and New York City, a contrast which gave him access to the natural landscape of the Rocky Mountains and to the melting pot of a metropolis. This duality allowed him to develop his interests in both ecology and world culture, which have been the primary driving forces of his life. As an environmental activist, he has made significant contributions to a number of causes, focusing primarily on North American indigenous forest issues. He founded Consumers for a Future, a non-profit which educates consumers about the environmental impact of everyday products and uses customer feedback to influence corporate environmental policy. He has lived in San Francisco for the past five years, where he has pursued environmental activism, while surviving as a computer network engineer.
