So here's the plan: After a late-night drive from San Francisco to San Diego, we spent a day at Monica's house doing tests on the equipment. We crossed over into Tijuana the next day and have divided into three groups to get to Mexico City where we will meet up again for the next leg of our journey to Guatemala:

Jamila and Shawn are following a route that will take them pretty quickly from Tijuana to Hermosillo and Chihuahua, then through Central Mexico to Mexico City.

Abeja and Kavitha are going down through the peninsula of Baja California to La Paz. From there they intend to catch a boat to the mainland and Mazatlan. They will then pass through Guadalajara and where we will all meet in Mexico City.

Klaus and Monica are doing the immediate San Diego to Mexico City flight to help Klaus get off on the right foot after a very stressful initiation to the World Trek.
