Look out Wonder Woman!

The women warriors sprinkle their own fairy dust and bring new lessons to Egyptian fairytales
Guess what?? There are super-heroines living in Egypt!

Their names are Rania, Hoda and Somaya. They might not be faster than a speeding bullet or able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but they are very, very powerful.

So what is their secret? You might be disappointed to learn that they don't have magic lassos or a special car. Their tool is a pen! They are storytellers. And they are turning Egypt upside-down!

Why is being a story-teller or a writer such a big deal? Because what you write might change the way people think. Rania, Hoda and Somaya are re-writing Egyptian fairy tales to make the women characters strong and smart, just like they are. And kids are growing up with these new stories and new ideas about girls and women and the things that they are able to do.

This might seem like a small thing to you, but the ability to change a person's mind is a powerful thing. Rania, Hoda and Somaya may not be like the super-heroines you know from cartoons like Wonder Woman or Bat Girl. But they have powers that are just as strong and they are changing people's lives every day.
