What do you think of when you hear the word Egypt? Maybe you think of big, tall pyramids and a large desert. During my travels, I am learning that Egypt has a very important history. Egypt is famous for many things.

One thing that makes Egypt special is that it has a rich religious history. Over time, the Egyptian people have believed in many different gods.

Egyptians used to pray to a god of the sun, a god of the water and a god of the sky. Many years later, Egyptians learned about Jesus Christ. Do you know who he is? Some people believe he is the son of God. There is a church in Egypt where the Holy Family (Joseph, Mary and the Baby Jesus) hid from King Herod. There are other famous places in Egypt too. I saw a spring where Mary drew water to wash Jesus, and where Pharaoh's daughter found Moses in the reeds. WOW!

I can't believe I'm walking through places where such important things happened long, long ago. The best part is that this is just the beginning. In a few weeks Kavitha and I are going to Mount Sinai, where Moses received the 10 Commandments from God! And then into the promised land…Israel! So stay tuned! You don't want to miss this!
